Where we have strong emotions, we're liable to fool ourselves. -- Carl Sagan
My take on emotions? Simple - they tend to get women in trouble. We want to get all emotional instead of looking at the cold, hard reality. Don't get me wrong, part of the beauty of being a woman is the fact that we are warm, nurturing, loving, and emotional. I personally reserve the right to cry when I am happy or sad. Yet, we have to look beyond the emotions and at the big picture of life.
Take extreme feminists for example (you know I had to go there, so don't look so shocked). They are too busy being angry at men and wanting to be a man (envy envy envy) that they forget about their own beauty. Women can get what they want without being witches and pushing and shoving people. We are soft and pretty (for some of us like me, the beauty is more on the inside LOL) for a reason. Like Dr. Laura says, if you want a man to swim through shark infested waters to bring you a lemon aid, you better be worthy of the lemon aid.
If there is something you want, go after it. Just learn to do it the RIGHT way. Occasionally, causing a ruckus is a great thing but you have to learn to bide your time and look past your emotions to get things done. Speaking of biding the time and getting things done. I read about an anti-abortion group that is buying up property that is currently leased to abortion clinics and shutting them down. Sure beats getting arrested! Way to go!!
