Well, I just finished chapter 5 of The Total Money Makeover and it's time to wave goodbye to my "normal" friends...just like the book says. It's going to be a hard climb but if my brother could do it, so can we. We do not want to have the cookbook 52 ways to prepare Alpo and love it when we are old. We do not like living pay check to pay check. The good news is we have NO credit card debt (we've never believed in them). Do I know our running total for our debt snowball? No, but I will tonight. A lot of it is old medical bills.
The good news is that The Cop Magnet is on board even though he knows it is not going to be easy. He agrees...things have to change. We aren't rich by any means but there is no reason for us to be living pay check to pay check. We make enough to be comfortable and yet...we can't find it.
I've started setting up a baby budget and now I'll switch it to an allocated budget to make paying the bills easier with each check.
Anyone else following along with Dave Ramsey and ready to read about it until we're done?
Dollface, I'm big-time proud of you both for deciding to deep-six your debt. Kudos to you for having no credit card debt ... that means you're already ahead of the game. Dave Ramsey's plan makes tons of sense, doesn't it? Good luck, baby! www.debtective.com
